We've been closing and/or deleting extremely large threads for some time now because they've been causing technical difficulties with the bbs. If you want to make a new thread to continue the theme please do so.

What will not continue: the bickering, infighting, and gossip that has infected this forum. We will also not allow what should be a wonderful open and creative forum to become the battleground for the war between other boards and cliques. Everyone needs to take their personal problems with each other to a private arena. It's unfair to drag the rest of the forum into the situation. If you are having a problem with another bbs member please use the Ignore feature on the bbs (Please note: you are not using the ignore feature properly if you then use the "report to moderator" on the person you are ignoring).

Thank you,
Admin

Thank you, Sea!!!!!!

I thought PJ was about finding peace, love, and making me the world better, rising above and having a good time along the way.

Some of the bickering and pictures I have seen posted are offensive. I always think, would the band approve of what I'm saying, maybe not agree !00% , but at least the manner and intent.

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO agree with this!!!!! some times I swear somebody threw a live cat in amongst rabid pittbulls, when I read some of the posts, as well as a few replies to my own, thanks Sea, cause yes this music is about achieving your higher and best self, and sharing it with the world, That's MY take on it..it's the inspiration that helps you become a better, more generous, caring, and compassionate human being. At least that's how it is for me.

this must of been before my time here. i really do not recall any bickering and bullshit like that in this forum.
the poetry forum's people have always been kind to me and to others. and in return i am kind and so are others. this really is a wonderful group and it has been growing.

speaking of closing and/or deleting extremely large threads, what about those with extremely large signatures? i see this constantly and i wonder if it fucks things up for the whatever the heck it is.

I joined up on the PJ forum (rather late in the game, you might say) because, even though a long-time fan, the music of this band began to take on a more import part of my internal muse. A few McCready riffs learned here propelled my many years of stalled guitar playing. The PJ stories I read by others here drew me in further. The superb show of love and camaraderie shown by BUGS Amongst the Waves sealed me in.

And then I got on the moving train. It's just too easy for me to get drawn in- I want to save the world, damn it! Well, ok, or at least interact with others who want to make it a better place. And I really like AMT but lately it's gotten pretty hot on the tracks so I came here to find peace in the muse.

And then I read that there's been turmoil and trouble here as well. Here, where people share their creative thoughts? Can it be, ohhhh, can it be?

So thank you, Sea, for encouraging us to take the higher road which, after all, is what Pearl Jam set for us as an example in the first place. We can get there!
