FS: Signed Eddie 8x10 For Your Collection!

Postby cropdustdair » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:28 am

Hey Guys! I'm unloading a nice Signed Eddie 8x10 that I have.
A color glossy 8x10 of Eddie. The photo itself is Circa 1993-1994. Signed circa 1995-1996. His signature is in Blue Sharpie and comes complete with a COA! This is the rare signature how Eddie used to sign his name back then. His signature has changed and variated over the years, so this is a definite cool piece to own. Asking price is $225 shipped and will ship sturdy and include delivery confirmation and insurance for US Buyer.

Thanks!

A different signature due to the fact that it's smaller and more "readable". Asking price is $150 and will be shipped sturdy with delivery confirmation and insurance to the US Buyer.

This signature has serious legitimacy issues if you state you obtained it from Ed in 2008.

Well I did. I meant to type 2009 and not 2008. In Seattle where they were warming up for the Key Arena shows to start their tour in support of Backspacer. McCaw or McCaa Hall was the name of the building they were rehearsing in. I have about 10 people who could confirm this autograph is legit. And I have no control over how Ed signs his name.

Not going to straight up say I don't believe you... but...

for the last few years that I remember.. it's similar to this:

I'd like to say it's not legit. But, hey, I can be wrong.

as you can see.. the signed Super Deluxe box sets of TEN were released March 2009.

look at Ed's signature..

If this is true, then I feel sorry for you... cause Ed didn't sign like this circa this era (I'm no expert however), but attempting to sell something that Ed signed with an unusual signature will be hard to do... And IMO, most 'educated' pj fans wouldn't buy this... Good luck...
And if hope could grow from dirt like me. It can be done.

Rog, having a mega hard time accessing forum unless via phone app so posting is almost impossible - however saw this and wanted to say I've also never seen ed sign this way - certainly not since the late 90's early 2000's

Maybe there is date confusion or something as this is a puzzler. I think I know the seller and I would trust his word always but this signature is not indicative of the time placed on it

Thanks for sticking up for me Paul! :)
The best thing to do is take the signed CD off the market. It seems as if everyone is waaaaaay to into knit-picking over it and more concerned about COAs and such.
Signed 8x10 is still on the market though.

I'd be surprised if the seller was "confused" about the date/location, as he seems fairly certain about where he claims to have obtained the signature - he states it was obtained before the '09 Key Arena shows, can't get any more specific than that. The simple truth is that the signature wasn't signed by Ed as it no way matches up with how Ed was signing at that specific time, or even for several years prior to that date or after it.

I have a full-on erection now, for that Uke!. Anyway, it looks like we need to call the the Pawn Star guys over to ask some other guy to justify the signature's legitimacy.
Go listen to John Frusciante right now!

This is why I grabbed the Klausen Bridge School poster. Best way to know that the EV Sig is legit.
