every first friday of the month our local indie movie theater does "First Friday Fright Night" (my friends host it). Anywho tonight they showed a film called Popcorn. I had never even heard of this until they had the preview for it a few months back. Came out in '91. Only person i recognized was one of the lead charaters, Tom Villard. He was in One Crazy Summer (with John Cusak, Demi Moore, Bobcat Goldthwait). Popcorn was pretty fun though.

I went to see Snow White and the Huntsmen.... I enjoyed it :)

The movie was initially rated R but changed to PG 13 - not sure what was done in order to go to a PG rating.

moonrise kingdom http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/moonrise_kingdom/

a story about how life as a child is not easy and how a little love and little support is all kids really need ... not sure how this will play out for non wes anderson folks as it is shot, written and scored like most of his movies ... this film has a lot of heart ... but like most of wes anderson's films - it's in the subtleties ...

So my buddy went to work today only to find out that they are shooting "Iron Man 3" where he works. Gwenyth was in the house.

I thought it was ok, went with about 5 other friends. They all hated it though. I thought it dragged on at certain spots.

ya ... saw this last nite ... it seemed to falter where most hollywood movies falter these days ... too many cooks in the kitchen ... it's like there was a bunch of people involved and they all wanted certain things in the movie and there was no clear vision ... nothing made sense and it got stupider by the minute ...

I forgot to mention that 'Che' - Part 1 is really good. Benicio Del Toro does a fucking good job of playing Guevara. It's a long film but it seemed to go by in a flash, which is always a good sign.

Not seen 'Che' yet, but did see 'The MotoryCycle Diaries' which I thought was really good, I enjoyed it a great deal.

Probably handed a pile of cash to the clowns at the MPAA. It would have hurt their target audience if they got an R rating

2 Words...

MAGIC MIKE

:corn:
The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols
