• Mississippi state Rep. Andy Gipson (R) says gay men should be "put to death."

• Charles L. Worley, North Carolina Pastor: Put Gays And Lesbians In Electrified Pen To Kill Them Off.

• Brad Dacus of the Pacific Justice Institute claimed the effectiveness of ex-gay therapy is “at least over 80%,” citing discredited “therapist” Joseph Nicolosi. Also repeats the common but totally baseless slander that gay men die at the age of 40. Actual success rate of ex-gay therapy is 0%.

Manny Pacquiao actually only said "homosexuality goes against the word of god". the fucking interviewer inserted a portion of scripture from Leviticus and added it to his quote.

"In it, Ampong included the Leviticus passage "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.""

Bigoted Church Member Defends Pastor Worley

Wow, she's confused by her own words, how could she understand and comprehend anyone else's? This is sad and comical. Maybe bigots belong corralled behind a fence. Human race, are we going forward or backwards?

tell them theyre a lot younger than they thought they were. ;)
Now what we have to understand is that this comes from an extremely clever and skillful program, that has manipulated us into ways of thinking that may be contrary to our own interests, but beneficial to the interests of the powers that be... beneficial to the interests of those who control our lives, and tax us until we have hardly a penny left to spend, take our money, and plough it into the creation of huge, armed bureaucracies, which exist to oppress us. We live in a society today where we may not make decisions, to explore our own consciousness. If I am not sovereign over my own consciousness, then I am sovereign over nothing.

[quote="brianlux"]That's a lot of heavy news. There's still a lot of bias out there. What's sad is, I thought this whole thing was beginning to turn around nearly forty years ago when I first started following gay rights issues. What happened? :([/quote

That's easy
The rise of the religous right in American politics
Same as why medical research hasnt exploded like it should have

I'm not so concerned about God because to me God=Mystery and I like a good mystery. Religion I don't mind so much as long as its personal and not pushed on others. Religion, like experiencing nature, is probably best when kept personal and done alone or in small numbers and never pushed on anyone.

But I get your point. God and Religion have all to often become perversions and used as an excuse for hatred. Not always, but far too often.

I just see it a lot in most politics
Look at the republican primaries just run
How much courting of the religous right was going on
Godfor me is a myth but I'm happy for there's to follow, just don't tell me or others what to do is my problem
And the religous right is a problem
They want To ban abortions
They want to ban stem cell research that may help cure my daughter
They want to tell my gay neigh ours they have less rights then me because of who they love

Religion As a group excersise should be banned. Private use of god allowed only

Today we've also had two pastors lament that they can't legally kill us and Exon Mobile voting 80% for blocking any mention of sexual orientation in their non-discrimination policy.

I'm getting tired.
