With some recent tour dates leaking, you almost have to assume it's going to be tour dates. Somebody on the MMJ board said that they heard tix for the alleged Philly show were going on sale next Friday, so that would align with the new roll call set up. I would definitely be psyched for T5 releases, but gimme a tour over that anyday.

I saw on livenation August 17th at the Mann in Philly last week. It was posted for a short time.

If the announcement is a tour, I plan to skip it this time around. Setlists have not been changing enough.

But they were most recently playing places that hadn't gotten the Circuital tour yet... so, Im hopeful that it'll be MMJ 2010 style tour. Non album tour 8-)
While I realize some of the rarities from 2010 were in anticipation of the T5 run... I still hold out hope for some randomness in the 2012 setlists....

Thats true. Problem is that I wont know until after the Roll Call sale. I guess I will wait to see the dates before deciding.

exactly. and these shows are gonna be coming after forecastle. i expect them to change up the setlist drastically for this tour. and even if they didn't, regardless of the set, mmj has never disappointed me live.

as for the announcement. i figured it was a given that they were going to announce the tour dates. but i'm hoping a t5 release is part of the surprise.

Its gna be a tough decision as money is tight, ive basically seen/heard every song they've ever played, and im already committed to dmb hartford, bonnaroo, and musicmidtown

Damn I guess I won't be skipping afetr all. A group I love, Shabazz Palaces, is opening for MMJ in a venue I love, Williamsburgh Park on Sunday (weekend!) August 19th.

so, my wallet is happy

Cool to see they're doin boots now. Always wondered what the hell they were waitin on. Hopefully they sound good. They have some great audience recordings that rival most of the official ones that any band puts out.

Is it a safe area since it seems like you have to walk a few blocks from the subway?

Williamsburgh has always seemed fine to me. I have a few friends over there and we have never had issues. But I always recommend traveling with a friend anyway.

Wtf is happening here? No New England dates other than Newport? It looks like I'm gonna have existing plans for Newport weekend, so I was hoping for another area date. This sucks.
