He deserved a huge amount of boos. Mets fans should be ashamed.

why did he deserve boos? because he didn't want to play for a franchise with a ton of issues? or because he went to a team that offered him more money?

either way I don't understand why fans think they should boo players for leaving as free agents.

just heard that, due to the unbalanced schedule, the orioles played 103 games last year vs. above .500 teams....while the tigers played 51 such games and the rangers played 60. makes no sense.
If I had known then what I know now...

if they balance the schedule they might as well get rid of the divisions.

the part that makes it soooooo much easier to grab a wild card if you're in the AL west or central.

you could say the same thing for any sport. some team is alway goingn to have an easier scheudule....unless you go to a round robin set up, then people are going to complain that so and so was hurt when you played him, but on fire when we played them.
If you have a spare GA, please PM. Billy is still looking.

like I didn't see that coming

the only perennial pushover in the NL west is the padres....and even they're good occasionally. Don't mistake parity for shitiness.

Because he embarrassed the team by taking himself out of the last game of last season. Mets fans paid money to see him in uniform one more time and he disgraced the game by exiting early. His last act as a Met was walking off the field like a coward.

soooo ... :geek:

i took the wins and losses for each team in each division vs. non-divisional teams (within the same league - so, no interleague) ... to see if it highlights which divisions have the best teams ...

AL East 198 162 55.00%
AL Central 166 194 46.11%
AL West 170 178 48.85%
NL East 196 172 53.26%
NL Central 189 214 46.90%
NL West 286 277 50.80%

looks like the NL West is not too shabby ...
