dumb, dumb, dumb.....

don't these people realize that these pictures are going to eventually get out?

at any rate, this is more fuel for the fire and is sure to become propaganda for the people who do not like us...

i thought we were supposed to be winning hearts and minds instead of inflaming tensions...

why couldn't that sniper group be bothered to come up with their own logo?? why the hell would they adopt the logo of the most feared and most brutal military unit of the last couple hundred years?? you don't need to be a graphic designer to come up with a different logo for the letters S S....

they might as well just go all in and put a death's head on that flag as well...

I bet that being enlisted, trained and deployed changes a person on all levels. These guys are obviously not in their right minds, and that goes for soldiers urinating on bodies too.
Perhaps being an American soldier gives these guys a sense of power and causes them to enlist Nazi symbol. I mean, were these guys into this shit before they were in the military?

Just a thought anyway...

Everyone reacts pretty quickly. And I am not condoning their choice of flag. But doesn't anyone else notice that they are a group of Scout Snipers? The flag may just be about being proud of and showing off that they are snipers. It may have little to do with Nazi's. Either way, a bad choice in flag. But I don't think it's worth getting that upset over.

 BFD... If anybody thinks that this flag was made to represent the Nazi SS obviously doesn't know much about the marines or the "Scout Snipers " for that matter  If anything we should all be thanking these brave men.

and furthermore:

I thought that flags didn't mean anything to some on here. Or is that just the American Flag when its burned or when people like Obama's pal William AKA Bill Ayers stands on it..

thanking them for what? again embarrassing the armed forces of the united states?? for giving the enemy more ammo to use as recruitment tools?

flags represent different things to different people. the american flag represents all of the good about this country, but it also represents all of the bad about it too.

i am pretty sure that if i were in this unit i would not want the symbol used by an army of racist and indiscrininate murderers representing my unit, but hey that's just me...

Terrible argument.

"Regardless of the situation, the Marine Corps has an answer for almost everything.

Contact with The Deity is serious business. It is also an excellent idea for Warriors who are expected to put their lives on the line against an assortment of foes. For U.S. Marines of any faith who may desire guidance when contacting their Maker, the Marine Corps has a ready aid, The Marine's Prayer:

Almighty Father, whose command is over all and whose love never fails, make me aware of Thy presence and obedient to Thy will. Keep me true to my best self, guarding me against dishonesty in purpose and deed and helping me to live so that I can face my fellow Marines, my loved ones, and Thee without shame or fear. Protect my family.

Give me the will to do the work of a Marine and to accept my share of responsibilities with vigor and enthusiasm. Grant me the courage to be proficient in my daily performance. Keep me loyal and faithful to my superiors and to the duties my Country and the Marine Corps have entrusted to me. Help me to wear my uniform with dignity, and let it remind me daily of the traditions which I must uphold.

If I am inclined to doubt, steady my faith; if I am tempted, make me strong to resist; if I should miss the mark, give me courage to try again.

Guide me with the light of truth and grant me wisdom by which I may understand the answer to my prayer."

Hey I dont want to hear it. You contact your deity under the pretenses and a double sig. Who the F do you think they are praying too? Obviously, you have no clue. I should thank whom? They are paid to do a job. They are full and well aware of the dangers they put their lives onto the line. Dont tell me they do it for me cuz that is bullsshit. I believe in peace. There is nothing they do in the name of world peace. Get Real. They do it for the power and glory trip. When the commands are handed down they never questioning for whom are they really fighting for?

For whom I question.

Usually the ss symbolism is shown with skull or even skull and bone... or totenkopf

History is long, back to the Norse divination of reading runes, to druids, very deep dark longstanding histories, even up to knights templar... however revived by Hitler to his own means also who was highly into dark occult. Mostly drawing powers from "lower" evolved spiritual forces or black witchcrafts. However, if we are talking people/warriors who believe they are masters in administrating death upon people we are looking something sinister "dark"... anyway.

When you take on any symbolism into your thought and life, you better know which powers you are giving to, in such symbolism.

---------------------
I can take this conversation into the deepest depths of physics/science if you like which also was pursued heavily in a dark manner by Hitler.

Are there no Marines on this board? As a Marine, I can tell you that the flag in question is a scout sniper insignia. Where's the problem? Obviously none of you have ever lived in the United States and been subjected to the dick-shrinking power of noted Jew Gene Simmons:

How could the two Jews, the Catholic and the Lutheran(Ace Frehley) in KISS be so hateful of Jews? F'in Nazis, I tell you. Speaking of Nazis:

You cannot compare.

You dont see Gene Simmons ass wrapped in a actual Nazi Flag.

I CAN compare. The SS or ,"lightning bolts" have as much to do with the Nazi movement as KISS' logo. I guess that I'm confused as to why it is a "Nazi" symbol when it's convenient to trash Marines, but the symbol is incomparable when it appears on the cover of 1978's Love Gun by KISS. Admittedly, I was pushing it on the swastika thing.

This is disingenuous and you know it. Power and glory? Who are you kidding? There is nothing as powerless and less full of glory than a Marine, let alone a Marine Officer. Do you know which part of your statement is correct?

It IS a JOB. It is a line of work that requires that you care about the entirety, not the individual. It's not for everyone, as a matter of fact, most fail. You want glory? You want stars on your shoulder? Join the fucking Navy. They'll let you grow a beard, for chrissakes! The Few, The Proud<-- truth in advertising. I care about you more than I care about me. I have training, I'll be alright. The difference between you and me is that you couldn't be a Marine. No one joins the Marine Corps because they like applause.

I don't see any Marine asses wrapped in an actual Nazi flag, either--so that's a good point.

3 Questions:

1. You understand that buddhism and hinduism are two different ideologies, right?

2. You understand the difference in the words, "utilize" and, "realize," right?

3. What color is the sky in your world?

Semper Fi Jarheads.

1. Marines are proudly displaying a Nazi flag with almost recognition as the American flag. I would say, Yes, they are wrapping their ass in it.

2. Both religions recognize the these symbols. And a just a tiny step further, considering, Buddhas Mother most likely was Hindu since she was from India. A religion much older than Buddhism.

3. What does the argument of utilize v realize have to do with this argument?

4. The color of my sky is the same as yours and since we all currently live under this umbrella together I suggest you stop being a intellectual, because you are terrible at it and learn how to create a better world with the people around you, it may be a better choice.

Right?
