Simon and Patrick guitars

I'm a uke player, but I'm finally ready to pick up a guitar as well. I've been looking at few acoustics... but there is a nice looking SImon and Patrick guitar for sale in the pawn shop below my work. They are asking $250.
I've haven't tried it out yet, but from looking at it, it seems to be in good condition.
Any one have any experience with S&P guitars? Would you recommend?

Thanks, good to know. However, I went down to the shop after work yesterday to take a closer look and try it out, but the damn thing had sold already. I guess it must have been a good guitar in someone's eyes!
