Wow, that must have been truly special to hear that. Did you know in advance that it would be in the film, or was it a total surprise?

Love them that much more now! Thanks Cameron Crowe for making such a great film. It was good to learn about Andrew Wood, and see him being carried on by the band. Really sweet to see Ed talk about his friendship with Jeff and get choked up. So many funny scenes, Stone's coffee cup & grammy find! The footage of the MTV Singles party was a riot. Interesting footage of the Nassau Coliseum show & Bushleaguer, the band is clearly surprised by the reaction. So much material, so well put together. Looking forward to Vancouver!

Really great movie. I almost shed a tear a couple of times. Just one thing that I missed: no stories about the Avocado and Backspacer times.

Were you at the 7:00pm or 9:30pm showing of PJ20 at Studio 35 here in Columbus, OH Gremmie? I was at the 9:30pm showing.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. Have you posted on here about your brother before, or has someone from the band or the director talked about the interview your brother did and that he died soon after? For some reason I think I heard about your brother before, but I can't remember where I heard or read about it. Maybe I am just imagining things.

saw the 10 p.m. show in long beach. i'm a bit biased but i thought it was fucking great - funny, informative, emotional, rocking. now i want to go to sunday's show in vancouver.

very cool seeing it in a theater. great group of fans and the sound was unbelievable.

what a band.

Never heard the mccready blacked out on snl story. and ed yelling/singing breath at the security guard was priceless.

thanks, pj.
PJ 20 was my 20th show. looking forward to No. 21!

This film blew my mind.

I loved it, a lot. It made me more grateful to be a part of Pearl Jam and it's history, so thankful for having their music (pretty much on a daily basis, I can safely say that round here without too many sideways glances :) )

I always knew I was lucky that "my" band kept going, kept putting out music that seemed to change and grow at the same time I did. I had an idea that it wasn't always an easy road for them all. I am just profoundly grateful that they are still recording and touring. We Are So Lucky!

What an emotional rollercoaster. I got swept away and yea, sung, chairdanced, laughed, and yep, got watery eyes too. I really feel lucky to have known the music for all these years.

And of course....it has made it IMPERATIVE that I see them again, soon, live! Did that happen to you all? I can't wait to see them again! And I live a LONG way from Mexico....

Sincere props and thanks to everyone involved, not least: thank you so much Pearl Jam...

I managed to control myself in the cinema, then cried like a little girl when walking back to my car. I thought it was absolutely fucking brilliant.

Watched the movie in Ljubljana (Slovenia). Just the feeling that something connected to my favorite band is happening in my country was a little surreal. The screening was full and the feeling prior the film was heart-warming for me. Then the movie...trip down the memory lane, goosebumps, goosebumps. Funny at times, touching overall, sincere and coming from a fan...
It is nicely rounded and I think it works for heavy fans and people who will just see it out of curiosity. I don't mind the focus on the early years but I feel the later years were a little left out. But, you know... maybe a good reflection on these years can be made at PJ40.
I am proud to be a fan, even if I am just a tiny fracture in the Pearl Jam community. This movie is something I can show to people who ask me: Why?.
A celebration of rock music, passion and overall - if you think how the stories form and break - life.
Looking forward to the DVDs.
Now I am a little out of place again. Similar to an after-concert experience. Damn, I love this music. Always leaves me wanting more. Always scratching me on the inside. Well done, Mr. Crowe.
The worst enemies of music? Money and Mathematics. Combined with music, they both do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do. Money makes music cheap, mathematics makes it stupid and predictable.

What an awesome movie!! So many things I had never seen before, and didn't quite know the band's perspective on things, as we do now.

Loved the footage and discussion about the Singles release party! Loved the shots of Ed riding Chris' back singing Hunger Strike back in he day. Loved all their recent interviews about their history.

An absolutely beautifully made film about an amazing band.

Cannot wait for the DVD so i can geek out to this movie multiple times at home.

Thanks Pearl jam for an amazing 20 years!! Here is to 20 more!

Thank you Cameron Crowe for awesome film.

I was at the Belfast screening last night and absolutely loved the film. Having been 15 in 1991 - my formative years were spent with this band and I got misty eyed with nostalgia for growing up during such an amazing time for music.

I'm suprised no-one else has called this but for me, the best moment of the film was Eddie dancing with Kurt backstage at the MTV awards - what an amazing, genuine & private piece of film that we have been lucky enough to see many years later.
