Let's Get Creative

I can be the organizer--This thread is sparking stuff, yes..STUFF, so instead of it being a giant conglomoration--not that theres anything wrong with giants or conglomorations--what say lets break it down into whatever creative category it might fall under, and create a separate thread for that.

Pandora, I already started a "cake" thread.

I think "Virtual Tent" might be a good thread name for the creativity workshop chat

or "analyze this" for the "post a painting, interpretative poetry" stuff.

What say ya?

I thought maybe one thread so as to not scare away the people who are shy to post. I thought perhaps we have some hidden creative writers here who might just stick something in so to speak.
We can work off each other here it shouldn't get too messy just creative, creative is kind of good messy don't you think?

insanity is as easy as i can explain it.
i do not know one single creative writer or artist of any kind that isn't out of their mind.
many are genius.
many are kind, gentle, and arrogant.
it is not owned
it just happens

im fucked in the head.

I thought this over for awhile and we have spoke of this before
when you tell me this I get the feeling your creativity is almost a separate entity,
driven. I think crazy is relative, we are all crazy to some degree, it is the passion in us.

great alternative.....like "caption this photo" only a little more elaborate, is that what you meant by posting a picture for others to write on?

I usually put my stuff in poetry and prose, and a lot of what hits me in the moment is in instant thoughts..but this sounds like a wonderful idea pandi!

I too find pictures and painting to be very inspiring, I get lost in them and find myself in them

I taught my kids to feel good about themselves and their feelings even when they are overwhelming. If anyone says they are a geek, like my Two Geeks thing I wrote, that that is a very good thing because that just means they are passionate about something. Never be ashamed of that. Same if they think they are"crazy" its just a passion, feeling very strongly and working it out in your head, finding who you are.

it can only be that.
nothing else would explain it.
when something is so deeply powerful it creates a passion inside where beautiful madness reigns
nothing else can ever fill it
this energy remains hungry for all eternity.
