the Dark Knight was one of the top Batman movies. the biggest issue is with it was Batman. batman sounded so goofy when he was in the batman outfit.

That was my other complaint with the movie. It was obvious that it was Chicago. The city did not have a "feel" to it. I guess i just liked Burtons creepy Gotham MUCH better. I read that there were even parts of the flick where you could see signs that read "Chicago"... nice planning there location director!

sorry to bring up these points in this thread. I am just hoping that they bring something new to this upcoming release..

I guess i just liked Burtons creepy Gotham MUCH better.

I hated Burton's Gotham. It seemed so obvious that every scene, even a lot of the ones that were supposed to be outside, were filmed on a sound stage.

I think there is a part of Nolan that would like to use the joker in this new film.... But it would be a HUGE distraction with the recast and would take away from what we all expect.... A great film. I think he has been thinking about the 3rd film for a while and isn't rushing things. To make a film like Inception as his follow up project to TDK is promising as hell. The great thing is that he is a young director( I think under 40) and has many years ahead if him and all of Hollywood willing to throw $ at future projects. They begin shooting the next film In April and I can't wait to hear who will be cast and obviously the villians.

Btw I was able to get that 2nd amongst the waves single for a friend
and very good looks on the itw vinyl reissue..... Made my day

it was up in the air for a while.... But it's a go. He didn't want to talk about it until inception hit theatres

he says the 3rd movie will end the "story"....... The one he started with batman begins.

Yeah there are a couple times in the film where you can see Chase Bank signs, stuff like that. I thought it really felt like Gotham in BB too. Dont know why they ignored it in TDK

I really thought movie wise BB was far more compelling than the Dark Knight...outside of the "why so serious scene". I definitely liked Burton's Batman the best...it was dark, and, while it's easy to see Jack was playing Jack that overlooks the reality that he was both funny AND crazy not just crazy like Heath's over the top Joker. Last I checked the Joker made jokes outside of slamming faces on pencils. I could be wrong.
