Big East Basketball thread

Postby xavier mcdaniel » Fri Nov 13, 2009 8:46 pm

I know there are a few of us alums and fans of the various schools and there was a thread on the previous version of this board. I'm hoping St. John's can at least get in the NIT, they have numerous players in their third year and some decent newcomers from what I've read.

Freshman at UConn. Wondering to see how UConn will do without Thabeet, Price, and Adrien. I just wish Thabeet stayed for his senior year to get better for the NBA. They looked solid tonight, but it's still early to tell. Onto the NIT Season Tip Off Monday!

Were you at the game tonight? Who looked good?

No. I was home, right in my bed with the cold (hoping it's just that and nothing more) but never miss a game on TV, unless I go to one. Jerome Dyson was great. Had like 27 points. Stanley Robinson and Kemba Walker did good, too. The freshman contributed a little bit.

Hoping that the reigning champion Cardinals have another great year. Got a lot of young players this year, but they should be solid.

The Big East is hands down the toughest conference in all of College Basketball. I think it was last year they had a record number of teams in the Top 25. So it should be an exciting year again in the conference. Go UConn!

Go NOVA! I've also always liked Georgetown for some reason since i was in middle school or high school.

Also am partial to St. Joe's (dad went there) and Temple. I know not Big East teams.

I think we're gonna be good. Definitely gonna get our leadership from our Guards. We're a little young on the inside...but Samuels has come a long way from last year.

Well reloading is better than constantly rebuilding, like St. John's... And Steve your season began the other night against William and Mary.
