No, thats not the Czech Republic Olympic Team Practicing at MSG, its the NEW New York Rangers !
Apparently, Sykora has wanted to join the Rangers and his Czech- Mates for some time now this season- unbelievable !
Now, if only Renney will send 1 czech player ( * Rozsival ) back to Prague for reconditioning !
Ill be there this Thursday-------- to watch #11 hung in the rafters- this will be 1 special night and I am totally stoked !

Lets Go Rangers !

My gosh that Calgary Flame team is speedy! They kept their resolve up and clawed back- pretty awesome !
Hope Moster enjoyed himself at the game tonight-
How about that # 1 star of the game tonight: Image
next up : the big retirement night for the Captain . ( I liked seeing the #11 behind each goalnet tonight- in preparations for thursadys ceremonies- boy is MSG pushing this event bigtime!
I hope they can string together another win for the Captain Thurs Night!

Hey, thanks for thinking of me! What an awesome game. It was a little disheartening being down 2-0 at the end of the first period, and they definitely earned their boos, but Lundqvist bounced back from two ugly goals and was solid the rest of the game. It was definitely nice to see Sykora net an assist and his first goal as a Ranger too. Going into the third I was thinking, a shootout would be nice. Then a minute later, Ward scored and the place erupted.

I'm so jealous that you get to go on Thursday. I'll be home watching it on my new HDTV, so its not all bad.

those Calgary Uniforms look sick ! a horse with flames coming out of his nose !?!?
I like them- a different look for those flames- i also noticed last night that they're in their 25th year ( i think a patch was on the uni's also )
pretty snazzy, for the flames !

Lets Go Rangers ! ;)

Just a great game last night. Despite the boos at the end of the first, they stuck with it. Lundqvist made some phenomenal saves, they made some great hits and things started happening. Nice to see Sykora fitting in so well so fast, but then again, they're like the Czech Olympic team out there now. I've said it a million times before, but Renney just needs to make Lundqvist the official number one goalie and stop all this rotating crap. Let Weekes be the backup.

Can't wait for Thursday's game, even though I'll be sitting at home and watching it on TV.

LETS GO RANGERS!!!

those key hits and saves were really something.!
Gotta LOVE that HMO line ! Ortmeyer, Hollweg and Moore- the energy line !
I dont know what point of the game it was- but im pretty sure the Rangers were mounting their comeback- and Ryan Hollweg simply exploded one of the Flames right back into his bench ! It was something --and even thru the tv you could hear / see / feel the energy level turned up a notch and sure enough that was the catalyst to the bouncing back !
And yes, I agree- Henrik was absolutely solid- even after Moores open-net-goal, ( 4-2) he was battling down on his knees, making some very acrobatic saves (all night) till the very last horn !
Thankfully, Rozsival didnt do anything too terrible last night-
I will post all of my photos from Thursday Night after the game-!

I was commenting to my friend, an Islander fan, that went with me about how scrappy Hollweg is, and after he planted that Flame into his own bench the crowd just erupted, and probably was the turning point of the game. That and Lundqvists save on Iginla shorthanded.

i think i cried teared up as much as mess di thru that whole conference....lol! the over/under in vegas on how long it would take for him to break down?? Mess is still the man! And to hear him n Slats say this was just an end of a chapter and not close the book on him returning to hockey esp with the rangers in some sort of capacity was nice! I think he'd be a great GM or coach or develpment coach. 10 yrs from now...Mess Head coach, with Leetch, Gravy and Richter as his assistants! :D:D:D

CUP, MESSIER AT ROCKEFELLER PLAZA SATURDAY
1/10/2006

New York's Rockefeller Plaza will turn into "Hockey Plaza" on Saturday, Jan. 14, as NBC Sports and the NHL launch the network's inaugural season as the broadcast home of NHL hockey.

The event is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at The Rink at 30 Rock.

The Stanley Cup will be on display at the NBC Experience Store, located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Members of the public are invited to have their picture taken with hockey’s "holy grail" (Note: fans should bring their own cameras).

Hockey fans also can watch and serve as the backdrop for the debut of the "NHL on NBC" studio show, which will originate from ice level at the Rink at 30 Rock. Hockey legend and longtime Rangers captain Mark Messier will serve as the show’s guest analyst, joining Bill Clement and Ray Ferraro both at the desk and on the ice for hockey demonstrations.

The transformation of Rockefeller Plaza to "Hockey Plaza" will begin Friday night, as the flags surrounding the plaza are replaced with NHL flags and the "NHL on NBC" logo is imbedded in the ice surface.

NBC Sports will present six weeks of NHL regular-season action: Jan. 14, Jan. 21, Jan. 28, Feb. 4, April 8 and April 15; and provide coverage of the Conference Quarterfinals on April 22, 23, 29 and 30; the Conference Semifinals, May 6, 7, 13 and 14; the Conference Finals on May 20; and Games 3-7 of the Stanley Cup Final in primetime. One game each week plus the Stanley Cup Final will be presented in high definition.

The Rangers are scheduled to appear on NBC broadcasts on Jan. 28 vs. Pittsburgh, April 8 at Boston and April 15 at Philadelphia.

Ohh myyyy
20 throw down in my best bridge
and the man to my left has folded down
well johnny doubled up with a royal flush
i had three jacks and a pair of nines
my mind is turning - just two shots more
there's not much left to play
well then dude walks in, black hat on top
what am i, if i'm lucky
wasn't a county cop
cause i'm just runnin out of time
Who's up for game two
what to do
my wallet's gettin thin
and i just lost my watch last night
well i gotta problem
just one answer
gotta throw it all down
and kiss it goodbye
Yeah!
That was a crazy game of poker
(That was a crazy game of poker)
I lost it all
(I lost it all)
but someday i'll be back again
And I, never to fold.
(never to fold)
Who's up for game three
i can barely see the bourbon drowning next to me
And i just lost it all
well there's a man sittin next to me
Red, was smiling
cause its funny
i don't have no money tonight
yeaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
That was a crazy game of poker
(That was a crazy game of poker)
I lost it all
(I lost it all)
but someday i'll be back again
And I, never to fold.
(never to fold)
Bop bop bop...
I say now skittleedat dat,
Well how bout that?
I'm coming out the front never coming out the back
And I walked into the bar yesterday
Cause I had something to do, something to say
And Johnny walked in right behind me and I didn't turn around
Til I heard the sound of his feet falling on the ground
I looked over my shoulder and I saw a clown
And I said what'cha doin' in the bar tonight.
So I said Johnny whatcha doing tonight?
He looked at me with a face full of fright
And I said, how bout a revolution?
And he said right.
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die dah dah
Day day oh!
And I said, what'cha looking at?
He hit me across the face with a bat
I grabbed my .45 and I said let's get out and go
So he opened the door and said do what you're here for
I said I'm wandering round the road four to four
And I said I been walking for about a thousand years.
And my feet are growing tired
My eyes a little wired
Don't know what to do unless I retire
And he just said let's play some crazy poker
So I said Johnny whatcha doing tonight?
He looked at me with a face full of fright
And I said, how bout a revolution?
And he said right.
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die dah dah
Day day oh!
I said that, was the craziest game of poker that I ever saw
I said that, was the craziest game of poker that I ever saw
But I'm not gonna quit and I'm not gonna stop
Don't give a shit cause I got the drop
Johnny just got two eyes just like mine
And I'm feeling kinda funky, kinda fine
And I drank a bottle of whiskey, 'fore I came
Came to the bar to see what's the same
I saw my man named Johnny sittin' across the table from me
And to my left was a man, he had no chin
Didn't really think about starting a scene
The man to my right wasn't feeling kinda nice
He looked kinda mad and I felt bad
Beacuse I took his money last night it's kinda funny
But now I'm just struggling--
I need a honey-bunny.
I don't know what to say anymore
So I'm just gonna go out, anywho...
So I said Johnny whatcha doing tonight?
He looked at me with a face full of fright
And I said, how bout a revolution?
And he said right.
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die
I say of, you say a
I say revolution, and you say die dah dah
Day day oh
My dad's last words to me: "Careful, son, I don't think the safety's on."
