don't get me wrong, he can write his own shit, but the quetion is....is he better when he interprets others.....

?

I think Crazy Mary is the finest example of Pearl Jam or Ed making a cover their own. But of course, he's best when performing his own material.

we listen to ed sing the songs so much... that we think of the songs as his in a way... ?

Do you think many of us wouldn't have bought those old school bootlegs back in the day for 40 bucks a pop if we didn't want to hear those rare tracks.

I.E.

*Doors induction
*kids are alright
*redemption song
*sheraton gibson
*baba
*won't back down

I think those were all on new songs III... if not its on one of those other boots i bought back then
