I haven't seen Aerosmith since 1997 in Panama City Beach, but I'm going to the concert in Atlanta tomorrow night at Philips Arena. I'm hearing that it's off to a great start and the setlist has a lot of old school songs. Cheap Trick is also getting great reviews as the opening band. (In my opinion, Cheap Trick is easily one of the most underrated rock bands ever.) I follow hard rock/metal guru, Eddie Trunk, on his Twitter account and on his weekly radio programs and he gave a good play-by-play from last night's show in New Jersey.

We have tix for next Wednesday here in Denver. Please post a short review after Atlanta to let us know how it went!

They played PC though? Killer!

They played both old and a couple of new songs. It wasn't bad length either, which surprised me after all I had heard. All in all it was an awesome show with a very cool setlist!!

The setlist differs a little each night, so it's not anything like a Pearl Jam show where you see twenty new songs each night on the tour. Cheap Trick sounded great as well. Robin Zander can still hit the high notes.
The arena was packed. I went to the Roger Waters 'The Wall' back in June and the Tom Petty show in the same arena in August 2010 and both of those shows were far from sellouts and people in the higher levels were reassigned seats to lower sections. That was not a problem last night as Aerosmith appears to be a big ticket seller right now.
