Hopefully they get Gaslight Anthem or Sleigh Bells to replace them.
Gaslight would be awesome!
I saw Sleigh Bells open for RHCP and I wasn't impressed...

Dave, I wonder if I talked to you, but didn't know it was you... Were you 2nd row McCready side for The Wallflowers? I was wearing the 10-of-clubs hat.
I saw:
The Wallflowers, Ok Go, Silversun Pickups, Jack White.
Young The Giant, Cake, Modest Mouse, The Killers.
AWOLNATION, Cold War Kids, Death Cab for Cutie, The Flaming Lips.
Enjoyed every single act except The Flaming Lips.
Best was definitely Silversun Pickups. I didn't know their songs but i rocked out the most to them despite not knowing them.
Jack White... Holy crap. He is a rockstar. He shreds almost as well as McCready!![]()
Modest Mouse was the one i was looking forward to the most, but they didn't play my favorite song
I knew alot more Killers songs than I thought I did!I also loved their light show, which I thought most other acts were missing.
AWOLNATION was great, despite not know alot of their music.
Death Cab, another favorite of the weekend, jammed so hard. I want a recording of that one.
Flaming Lips... very hyped.. but it was more of an 'act' than a concert. ballons? Confetti? Dome-thing on a guitar? C'mon...
Sadly, I had to leave before the Black Keyes came on because i had a long drive to be at work this morning... But It was an awesome wekend!
I really enjoyed The Arcade. I spent probably 2 hours in there on Saturday staying cool and just playing pinball/galaga![]()
My only complaints (that werent really that bad) was the need for more free water stations, and how long the walk was to the festival.
Camping was fun, had some nice Pearl Jam fans next to us! (Which I could belive that I could be that lucky)
And I met a Pearl jam fan in the middle of Modest Mouse's set!
I was surprised how many PJ fans there was!
I will be doing this every year as long as it's in Dover from now on

eeriepadave wrote:wasn't me no. Missed The Wallflowers. Also missed Silversun Pickups to get a good view of Jack White. Yeah water stations were kinda sparse and the walk to and from the festival were kinda long. Downside locked my keys in my car the first day![]()
also getting out of the parking lot last night took forever which i was kinda expecting. Friday & Saturday I got out no problem and git home in about one hour and 15 minutes. Only saw Cold War Kids, Death Cab and Black Keys last night. Missed Flaming Lips on purpose to get a good spot for the Keys. Had fun waiting 2 hours in between sets, lol. Lot of talking balloon and beach ball hitting. Few pics:

I was on the rail for the Wallflowers and someone commented on my PJ hat and how Jack Irons was the current drummer for Wallflowers, so that was cool.
I think Silversun was the best set i saw all weekend. I was pretty close, but i really liked thir set. Sucks that all of the times were so close and that you had to miss part of one set to catch all of the others, but I see the benefits for that.
I was checking for my keys everywhere because I was afraid I was going to lock them or drop them..![]()
Missing Flaming Lips was a good choice. I saw the first 5 songs, was not impressed at all, then left.
I wish i was able to see Black Keys, but there was no way I would have made it to work at 8 am, if I watched them til 11, had to walk to my car, then drive an hour 20 to get to my apartment...
I thought the singer from Cold War Kids sounded alot like Jack White
Nice Pics!

eeriepadave wrote: You still should have stayed for the Keys. I got home around 12:30on friday and Sat. night, Sunday was more like 1:30ish thoughI had off today and I still woke up around 7
Of course took a nap in the afternoon though. I didn't see anyone wearing any PJ stuff this weekend, lot of other bands but no PJ
eeriepadave wrote:Well I guess it was a success cause Firefly is returning next year![]()
And they are having a limited quantity of presale tickets for 2013 on sale through FireflyFestival.com on July 25th at Noon EST.
Maybe Pearl Jam will finally play Delaware?![]()
