Nice, thanks for that link! I saw them at some cafe in Madison once and mid-set Dennis said he wanted to 'do the Eddie Vedder' so he climbed on all the gear and jumped off into the crowd...which as you can imagine in a cafe was quite the scene!

The Frogs at PJ20 would be more than I could ever hope for. I would want to see them more than anyone else! I fucking love them. Great music and great performers who make me laugh my ass off.

Those guys are super nice. They actually allowed me to walk into one of their shows with a video camera and tripod once and film the entire thing. We were sitting at a table in the back of the Euclid Tavern in Cleveland before the show when Jimmy came up to us and asked if we were planning on shooting the show. My reply was "if that's ok with you". He said absolutely but wanted to know if I would mail him a copy. I did and in return they sent me a letter with an autographed copy of a lyric sheet for "April Fools (He Had The Change Done At The Shop)" I really need to get on the ball and post some clips from that show online.

They were supposed to recently reunite and play "It's Only Right and Natural" in it's entirety at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival but I don't know whatever happened with that.

Ok...so I finally went back and watched the footage from The Frogs show that a couple friends and I shot back in '98. I hadn't seen it in about 10 years and I forgot so much about it (like what a train wreck most of it was...but then again, isn't that part of the charm of The Frogs? ). Unfortunately they were having sound problems all night and weren't too pleased about it but they still managed to put on a great show.
There are PJ references all over the place. At one point they cover Petula Clark's "Downtown" only they eventually change the lyrics to "Pearl Jam...things will be great when we're Pearl Jam..." We got most of the show but the batteries ran out with maybe half a dozen songs left (we weren't fully prepared because we didn't really think we'd be allowed to shoot at all, let alone the whole thing but then again, we shouldn't have underestimated the awesomeness of The Frogs).
So anyway, I've started posting some of the clips on Youtube if anyone is interested. I'll eventually get them all up there and will update the thread, but for now these will have to do as it takes forever to compress and upload these things. Remember, this was shot in 1998 and isn't the best quality in the world but hey...HD didn't even exist yet! Not too mention, the camera gets shaky at times but what do you expect, we're watching The Frogs and laughing our asses off. Enjoy.
