Have been really loving Low light at the moment... My fav line would have to be "can't wear my mask, your first I'm last"

Just wanted to know everyone interreptation of this line would be?

Sounds like it's about changing yourself for other people and how you don't want to do it anymore, or just to simply be yourself. Sounds like a age gap to me, like you have to be a certain age to understand the way things work in life. But maybe they wrote like that cause it sounded good. I'll ask them at the next show.

It's actually "your first, my last"

I always thought that line to mean love, like the relationship was your first love but my last love. I find this line sort of sad when you think about the lines right before it...specifically the part about jealousy and car crash. And can't wear my mask meaning I can't hide my sadness.

I really love this song, to me it has a very sad tone to it.

From what I understand, Pilate was the "question" and Low Light was the "answer", according to what I read about Jeff writing it. Low Light is hauntingly beautiful, but I'm at a loss for exactly what he meant, other than finding peace.

This is one of my favourite songs - luckily they still play it from time to time. One can one hope i'll lucky enough to hear it live!
I have often wondered about the last verse in the song. In the booklet it says "i don't need the light", but i'm pretty sure Eddie sings "i need the light".... can't really decide which i like the most. But it makes quite a big difference...

I have to go back and listen to it again- been about a year I'd say. I still wish the encore was better, but that first set is glorious.

its a love song like all songs.. romantic love, parental love.. whatever
Low Light to me is saying that all the things that seem to be important to everyone else are really not what is important to me... they are seen with low light. even a car crash.. low light
its your dream I see - that I shine the light on
brilliantly written and performed.. I sooo love this song
