Outdoor drinks sound like fun.

I'm either travelling up after work, or travelling up from London, depending on if a) I get the leave and b) if I get Tom Petty tickets. If I see Tom in London I may make the most of the day and get a late train to Manc as it's that much cheaper.

I'm arriving early on the 20th, anyone any idea what the actual name of the 'outdoorsy place' is so I'm not wandering around like an eejit looking for it all day?

The Old Wellington.

There is a link in the first post that has address details
So are we strangers now? Like rock and roll and the radio?

 right, this thread is a about the pre party - Back on track boys!

I have no problem with the direction we have chosen to diverge this thread towards... Three things make this world complete... PJ, beer and boobs... All three present and up for discussion within this thread :P

I think you, Paul and Gary are some sorta bizarre set of triplets

and where's Dunk...?
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?

It's confirmed then, hubby and I will be up the 19th after work and loitering around The Old Wellington on the 20th... Good times ahead :D

Pickle, do you mean a lift up on the 19th and then home again on the 22nd? ;)

You may need safety belts fitted in the back
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Those would be the dates that had previously been discussed, yes :P
I would try to fit a seatbelt, but they don't adhere well to plywood, and I doubt making a hole in the futon would increase night time comfort...

Yes, I have been to some Pearl Jam concerts. Several of them.

I will be around a day or two before the first night (which I hope to get tickets for, have night 2) and will be keen for pre and post drinks!

We had our office Christmas meal in that pub a few years back. Not that I can remember it.

What makes it worse is that I don't drink. Hmmmm....
