They don't stop people from bringing in phones, but if you're going to use the camera on it, then there's a certain likelihood that you'll get booted.

is the whole venue seated? never been before, and kinda assumed we'd be in a draw for standing tickets? Ten Club priority & all that. if i see any footballers at the front i'll be mighty unimpressed :!:

No standing anywhere. No 10c priority. Thems the conditions you signed up for when you clicked on 'order tickets'.

[color=#800080]I went to the PJ gig at the Manchester Apollo last month and took my camera with no problems. I'll be gutted if I can't take my camera this time!!! It looks like it's perhaps EV who doesn't want us taking cameras...not the venue...I should probably respect that!

When i went to see chris cornell last month in glasgow they made it clear at the door that no pics or filming was aloud but they never took anyones phone away. But during the gig someone in front of me that was pretty drunk was warned three times to stop filming with his phone and after the third time the police came and escorted him away.As this is a similar type of gig it might be the same :|

That's been the norm in my 8 in Oz last year, the same across all North American EV dates, and it's what's been set out in the emails when these Euro shows were announces, and repeated again now.

Same as the Cornell shows earlier on.

Don't see why it'd be any different.

Hurrah, and long may this last.

Indeed.
At the Chris Cornell show in Florence, there were signs saying to please respect the wish of the artist and don't take pics and videos. Of course, people were filming, standing up and taking pictures throughout the whole concert...nightmare really. Very glad there is a strict policy on this regarding EV shows.

I received the message about cameras as well and already knew about the policy. And yes, a phone is a camera as well nowadays. I was shooting myself during the PJ Amsterdam concerts, but there was no prohibition and it's quite different from Vedder playing solo in front of a few hundred people.

It will be good to simply enjoy the music and not everybody focussing on the best shot! :D

Anyone have any idea what time its likely to end in Manchester? I'm considering getting the train, but the last train back to North Wales is at 11.15 and I don't fancy rushing or missing the end!

Standard 8:40-9pm starts, goes for a little over 2 hours, you'll miss the last train unless you leave early.
