Bronx Bombers wrote:The highly-awaited America’s Game: 2011 New York Giants debuts the night before the Super Bowl champion Giants open up the NFL season against the Cowboys. The Emmy-award winning series will be shown for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 10 p.m. on the NFL Network.
The show features exclusive video and sound of the Giants during team meetings, games and inside the locker room, including footage from Tom Coughlin’s speech to the team the night before Super Bowl XLVI.
Alec Baldwin narrates the 60-minute documentary.
In the hour-long special, Eli Manning, Coughlin, Justin Tuck and Victor Cruz recount the 2011 season in their own words. Some of the highlights”
Tom Coughlin on showing his team a video of a high school cross country runner for motivation. “One particular girl who really was their best runner, coming down the stretch she began to struggle. She collapsed within feet of the finish line. She said to herself, ‘You have to finish, that’s the point.’ She literally crawled across the finish line and her team won the state championship. When the movie ended, you could have heard a pin drop in the room.”
- Victor Cruz on the first two games of the season: “There was a little voice in the back of my mind that was telling me in this league, chances come few and far between, and if you don’t take advantage of them they can slip away just as fast as they came. Thank God I got another opportunity.”
- Eli Manning, on winning a second Super Bowl: “It probably changes the way I’m viewed. I don’t think it changes the way I view myself. It doesn’t change the way I’m going to improve as a player to make sure I give my teammates and the new guys that will come be a part of this team an opportunity to have those same experiences.”

That whole situation is a lot about nothing. It's just dumb that someone recorded it.

Not so much dumb for recording. Dumb for putting it online.

Oh man does that bring back some great memories!![]()
I really love hearing what the players say on the field, but the show also cover the coachs and referees.
The ref called holding on one of the Giants O-line. They had the conversation between the ref and the defensive player that got held, and he admitted it was a bad call.
