I love it how fat and out of shape Michael Pineda looks this spring. I hope he eats his way out of New York in 2 years.

Also, it appears Manny won't be coming to Fenway in 2012 as the only time Oakland comes here is in April, while Manny serves his suspension.

Any predictions on Manny's production this year: I'm gonna go with .290BA, 14HRs, 56RBIs from June til September.

Pineda is a big dude. He'll be just fine, don't you worry.

No shot on Manny. Not in that park and not after sitting a year and a half. And this...

Here was one manager's take when told that job-hunting Manny Ramirez is in good shape: "Does he look like he's on steroids? Because he can't hit when he's not on steroids."

don't be bad mouthing people from my home town. :P

he can zip it up there pretty good, but his control was aweful last year. if he can get any semblance of control, he can be a solid pitcher...
If you have a spare GA, please PM. Billy is still looking.

Looking forward to bumping into Manny while he's in the Bay Area!

Ramirez is gonna be 40, and out of the game for almost a year & 1/2.

Type in that domain and you get sent back to the Yankees all for 8 bucks. The Sox Management will pay dearly to get it back. I'll drive west to see the new Park for my b-day just to get a taste of Fenway Park South.

I think it's a funny story. I'm not sure if it would be the Sox who'd have to pay for the rights to the site since the stadium is owned by the city and the JetBlue sponsorship was handled through the city as well. I assume that something will be worked out. In the meantime, the guy is getting a lot of publicity and laughs out of this.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I think it would be pretty fantastic if Francona and Valentine got into a pissing match.

I'm sure it won't be long after Francona called the clubhouse ban on alcohol a PR move. Maybe if Terry would still have a job if he had implemented a few PR moves like that and took back control of the clubhouse. He's entitled to his opinion but he comes off as a little defensive with those comments--and I don't even like Valentine.

Valentine already took a small shot back at him. I really hope Francona responds. This could be awesome.

“Remember, you’re getting paid over there for saying stuff. You get paid over here for doing stuff. I’ve done both.”

Which doesn't make much sense since Francona did playoff broadcasts last year, will be this year and won two world series rings.

Of course you do. I hope A Rod blows out his knee during spring training. And I hope Pineda chokes on a ham sandwich.

Gonna be a fun season Cliffy!

You should be more worried about your pitchers choking on a chicken bone or getting a DUI leaving the stadium. Oh yeah, thats right, they hired Valentine to be their daddy and not let them drink.
