had to reply and put this on another page ...

two primary thoughts ... 1. there is no way a golfer should make par when he drives it so far off the fairway and into the woods ... 2. good to see guys had to make shots to win

bubba - not a fan of the button thing but dude can carve, slice, hook, draw like no one can ...

if it was jim nantz, you can immediately disregard whatever comes out of his mouth.

honestly ... obviously, i'm just a hack but i think lessons can actually ruin your game ... i find instructors make the game overly-mechanical ... i can hit slices, draws, cuts, knock-down shots too ... and i learned just by reading and watching a few tips on the golf channel ... obviously, there isn't any consistency and i still can't putt for shit but i think there is something to be said for keeping it simple ...

for weekend hackers, yeah lessons are pretty much useless once you learn the basics...it's more playing and practicing...but to be a pro and just go out there and grip it and rip it is wild...his game is suited for augusta...i doubt he'll win a us open with the way he plays but regardless, he is fun to watch

A 40-year-old Masters patron was arrested Sunday after, police said, he attempted to steal sand from the sand trap.

Richmond County sheriff’s Capt. Scott Gay said Clayton Price Baker, of Ohio, slipped under the ropes following the tournament and attempted to put the sand in his cup.

After a short foot chase by Augusta National security and sheriff’s deputies, Baker was apprehended and charged with disorderly conduct.

Gay said Baker, who was drinking heavily at the time of the incident, was unsuccessful at getting any of the sand in his cup.
