I don't think you can say he's the worst signing. Most overpaid maybe, but worst signing no.

He has been solid since the second half of last season. The Giants just flat out don't score runs. They need a huge bat that can guarantee 35+ homers to be competitive.

It's not run support that is Zito's problem. While he was good late last year, he's 31 - 45 entering this year with an ERA close to 5 over his three years with the Giants.

That's not a lot of bang for the buck when you sign the guy to a 7 year $126M contract!

You can argue about Mike Hampton all you want ... but so far, the worst contract, yes probably ever, is Zito's.

Exactly! I was thinking this last night. Our pitching is the best in baseball but we need to score at least 2 runs to win some of these games. Hopefully Wellemeyer can pull his head out of his ass today and the Giants can get a WIN!!! Then we can get our asses home and whoop up on some St. Louis
