Sandusky Trial

Postby polaris_x » Wed Jun 13, 2012 6:03 am

Well ... it started ...

it's things like this that I wonder how people can look themselves in the mirror sometimes ... the lawyers for sandusky accusing witnesses of shit ... like, i know its your job but fuck if it was me - there is no way in hell you'd catch me defending a guy like sandusky ...

Sandusky taking this to trial is just another form of abuse to the victims. making them relieve it on the stand. what a piece of shit. you know you are guilty and have little chance of winning but you are going to let them have to retell the tales. heartbreaking to hear the one witness say he feels guilty because he didn't tell back in the day so there ended up being other victims. and the kid yesterday who is now 18 who told a counselor who didn't believe him. that counselor has to feel like shit today.

and the massive cover-up by penn state is starting to leak out. they had files and emails about the situation. they said the one guy Curley lied to the grand jury so much that they couldn't even rebutt all the lies that there were so many. i hope all those people who defended penn state and paterno apologize at the end but i doubt they will.

everyone deserves the best defense possible.
Defense attorneys rarely ask their clients if they are guilty directly.
The problem with him is, I think he thinks he did nothing wrong.

"After rubbing and cracking my back and rubbing his hands down the back of my shorts and then blowing on the stomach," the witness said.

The witness then breathed heavily. He followed with a deep sniff of his noise, then hung his head and openly wept.

"He … "

More sobs.

"He put … "

There was another prolonged sigh. An attempt at a breath. A loud cry.

"He put his mouth on my privates," the witness said through a broken voice, seemingly just trying to spit it out.

"I spaced. I didn't know what to do with all the thoughts running through my head. I just blacked out. I didn't want it to happen. I froze."

I couldn't either, initially was pre-law in school, but after talking with my father who practiced for quite a few years as a defense attorney I opted out quickly. I saw his spirit slowly die over the course of my lifetime and I think a lot of it had to do with constantly defending the same people for the same things.
It isn't always a glamorous job, and people don't really respect lawyers, especially criminal defense attorneys...until they need one.
oh, kind of off topic, but Technicalities are often another word for (civil) rights. It keeps the cops honest, nothing wrong with that...if we didn't have them we would be seeing wrongful convictions all over the place.

My sister is a criminal defense attorney and she won't go near sex crimes. Lots of money for those lawyers in drugs and guns though.

Everyone has the right to their day in court though. I couldn't do his lawyers job.

They gave you their trust and you repaid them with lust
They still quake and cower from burdening that power

You should have been helping to guide their lives
Assisting them to forge a course
But instead of being under your guidance
They were under the weight of your force

They were numbers-in-waiting while you were a scout
They are still numbered and full of self doubt
Eyes downcast they live with shame
You walk around
While they go unnamed

You should have been a hero
But instead of looking up to you
They were looking up at you
From their knees
Skinned little knees
Repeating their pleas
To stop – please
Stop

Tortured little souls, some living hand to mouth
To wind up in your nasty hands and your filthy fucking mouth
You infected their lives and permeated their nightmares
They will never be the same
Subjected to your sickness
While you skulk behind your fame

You took them by their little hands and forever fucked their minds

with the slimy agonizing touch
with scales and festering pustules and bile and vomit
that ooze from the black and putrid heart
of a child molester
