Pearl Jam in Zagreb!

Da, mogla sam slat i money order, znam, no to je sve nekako prekomplicirano
i sumnjivo mi, pogotovo za nase krajeve.

Staviš pare u kovertu i pošalješ preporučeno....nekako se mora :)

Evo, napokon se i ja dočepao albuma, tj originala! Inside art je baš bolestan, i više mi izgleda na album art Tool-a, nego PJ-a....ali, šta se može!

Pitanje je kada ću, i da li ću, uopšte sebi pustiti original CD, s obzirom da već mjesec dana u autu, na laptopu i u kući imam mp3 verziju :)

Da se bar malko udaljim od teme koncerta.. Imamo jos 5 mjeseci o tome da pricamo :)

Malo sam surfao po 10c-u i nasao pravo interesantne stvari (sad mi je jos vise krivo sto nisam clan, al bicu uskoro). Interesuje me sta znaci ono "LP" pored imena određenog diska? Sta mislite, nakon placene postarine, carine i svega ostalog koja je cijena onih majica od nekih 16$? To sigurno izađe na bar 25-30$ na kraju.. Valjda je neko narucivao sa ovih prostora?

Postoji velika mogucnost da ce se na konc PJ-a u Zagreb ici organizovano iz Sarajeva. Bas idem ovih dana kod covjeka koji se inace bavi sa tim pa vam javim sta ce biti (pogotovo onima iz Bosne).


ja sam narucivao sa stranice.. uzeo sam si majicu i pre-order novi album... sve zajedno me ispalo 40$ (postarina je 11$), i trebalo bi mi doci next week.. tako da to zeljno iscekujem.. :D

Oni ocito nemaju predodjbu gdje dolaze. Ako su stonsi 400 i 500kn u Maksimiru kako su oni 350 (sada!) u Domu Sportova. Osim toga doci cem im sigurno pravi fanovi, a ostali? Netko je vec to spomenuo tu: Idem na PJ u Zagrebu!!! - Pa kaj onda, Ko su ti ti, itd...I osim toga mi nemamo kulturu koncerata: Kud cemo veceras, ah ajmo na koncert. Volio bih da se proda u ZG dovoljno karata da se održi koncert (sjetite se Metallice), ali u isto vrijeme što manje kako bi bila intimna atmosfera sa najboljom setlistom na turneji (sjetite se Katowica 2000-e, druga noć)

S obzirom da ce bit koncert u tjednu, ne za vikend, onda ne znam...:(

Ajde, pa da se organiziramo jer za VR su vlakovi iz Trsta jeftini, nekih 12 eura... Relativno brzo se dodje, a ako se skupi ekipa bilo bi nam super ici zajedno. Takodjer i smjestaj u hoStelu nije skup, a opet kad bi nas islo vise bilo bi nam zabavnije i u hostelu eventualno jeftinije (iako zbilja nije skupo).

Milano je samo nekih sat i pol od Verone vlakom pa to nije problem...
S obzirom da je koncert sljedeci dan i blizu su gradovi, steta je ne ici na oba..

Upravo se danas (ponovo, nakon 5 godina) druzim sa chovekom koji je direktno radio originalne, fenomenalne postere za SHOW Pearl Jam, zajedno sa svojim pajtosima iz grupe Fire House!! Tip je genije, poslacu vam link za njegov web site. Lichno, posedujem neke od njegovih radova... :)... da me ne razumete pogreshno Chuck ne radi samo za PJ, vec za mnoge, mnoge velike svetske zvezde, of course!!

Fine craftsmen of subversive propaganda, Ron Donovan and Chuck Sperry have stuffed their rock art portfolios with many of the biggest names in rock and roll. And they have worked for many of the biggest clients in the entertainment industry. Sperry and Donovan have created a much sought-after series of posters for Virgin Megastore (including Pearl Jam, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins, Beastie Boys, U2, Madonna, Limp Bizkit, and Hole).

They have also created over 25 posters for San Francisco's own Mexican wrestling extravaganza, "Incredibly Strange Wrestling," which was recruited for the Vans Warped Tour 2001. Other posters have been produced for such legendary performing artists as Queens of the Stone Age, Madness, Jane's Addiction, Supersuckers, Garbage, Bad Religion, Johnny Cash, John Lee Hooker, Lee Perry, Cheap Trick, X, among many others. In 1999 they created a magnificent four piece circle poster for the Tibetan Freedom Concert, and even the Tibetan monks could be counted as their fans.
Ron and Chuck's works are easily recognizable by their unique style of color theory, characterized by the use of metallics over striking colors. Their unique printing technique has won them the attention of the experts in the printing profession and they were included in Print's Regional Design Annual 2002. Poster giants Victor Moscoso, Gary Grimshaw, Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley have all colaborated on poster projects printed by Firehouse - in addition they have colaborated with well-known peers Frank Kozik and Alan Forbes.

Sperry's career as an illustrator began circa 1985 amid the squats on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NYC. It was there he and fellow squatters Seth Tobocman and Peter Kuper worked on the biting political comic World War 3 Illustrated. These malcontents tackled topics and issues that haunted the squatters on the Lower East Side (mainly gentrification), at a time and place that served as a diarama representing the struggle between classes world-wide.

After moving to San Francisco in 1988, Chuck's experience as an illustrator, combined with his political fervor, drove him even deeper into the art of "creative disobedience". While in San Francisco, he has been awarded two grants, one from the NEA and Pew Charitable Trust to subsidize a series of shows at the ATA Gallery, titled "Who's the Landlord?," which also included a retrospective on WW3. The other grant was from San Francisco's Haas Foundation for a mural which he painted at the Labor Temple commemorating the legendary leader of the Longshoreman's Union, Harry Bridges, the Labor Council of San Francisco and the 1934 general strike which forever changed the course of labor relations in this U.S.

Over the past ten years, Chuck has contributed stories to Last Gasp Comics & Stories, and was the art director for Filth Magazine (circulation 10,000). Most recently, he has created a controversial album design for Jello Biafra's Spoken Word Album #7, entitled Machine Gun in the Clown's Hand released on Alternative Tentacles in 2002.
Donovan's first footprint on the art world also came in 1985, when he co-founded We Are Not Gentlemen (WANG), a cadre of infamous art saboteurs, headquartered at the California College of Arts and Crafts. They staged their first poster show in the campus men's bathroom, when in a covert operation, WANG members screened full color prints directly onto the bathroom walls. At a lunch time opening, art students and faculty were invited to mingle and admire the prints (much like a normal art opening?) except that the sinks were used for beer coolers and the trash bins for chips'n'dip.

Ron and his fellow WANGsters also screened a popular poster and T-shirt collection called Reaganwear, which boasted such slogans as, "I Can't Remember," "I'm Not a President (But I Play One on TV)," "CIA Vacation" and the ever-popular "More Arms, More Hostages." The collection was available at Pipe Dreams on Haight, the Reprint Mint on Telegraph as well as direct through WANG during their frequent class-ditching excursions to Sproul Plaza.

Prior to co-founding the Psychic Sparkplug in late 1994, Ron had become known endearingly as the "Duke of Haight Street", where he'd set up office at Copy Central, tirelessly knocking out 8 1/2 x 11 flyer copy for the venues "Kennel Club" and "I Beam" as well as for many local bands. He also designed a much sought after collection of over 60 posters for San Francisco surf music legends, "The Mermen" as well as covers and layouts for two of their CDs.

The two artists met in a chance encounter at Comic Relief in the Upper Haight, where Sperry was in charge of public relations for that comic book store. Soon after discovering that they'd both landed their first jobs designing Fillmore posters for Bill Graham Presents within weeks of each other, Ron invited Chuck to join Psychic Sparkplug. A year later, the team collaborated with Gary and Laura Grimshaw to present the first of two "Temporary Insanity Shows" at Off the Wall Gallery on Haight Street. The show featured Victor Moscoso, Coop, Kozik, Kuhn, Hess and Mats?!, and gave Psychic Sparkplug a much needed boost in the public eye. Later that year, they were involved in the dedication of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, another pivotal moment in their careers.

Now, after having worked together for over eight years, the Firehouse team is rock solid and only gaining momentum. Their latest tour in Europe boasted 26 shows in 30 days - a whirlwind book release campaign that brought them to the capitals of Europe and across 5 countries.

Da, jer tu ga nece bit jos *nekoliko dana*, ali poznavajuc stanje,
meni sve to smrdi na nekoliko tjedana :(

Ovo je stvarno dobar mjesec...novi Pearl Jam i danas jos navecer idem po Pepperse :).

Na zalost moram da se slozim sa Black Mustangom. Mnogo je otkazanih koncerata u prethodnom periodu, tako da ni ovaj nije 100% siguran.
Nisam znao da je u Zagrebu toliko koncerata otkazano (Metallica,Lenny Kravitz, Offspring,...) sto dokazuje da smo u istim g...... . Chak i da Pearl Jam zakaze koncert u Beogradu, treba ih videti na bini da bi bio siguran da su tu. Tako ja zapucah na Exit preproshle godine da vidim samo KINGS OF LEON koji su mi vrlo dragi novi band (mozda ste ih chuli sa Eddie Vedderom su pevali uzivo ,,Slow Night So Long" (Seattle, 25.04.2005) na jednom nastupu), kad izadje Ninoslav sa B92 pred pochetak njihovog koncerta i kaze bubnjar polomio ruku. Dobro bio je posle Iggy Pop i on je legenda, ali opet,...
U Beogradu je nedavno otkazan Massive Attack, a sada je kao iz tehnichkih razloga otkazan i Sting, a za Rollingstonse jos nije potvrdjeno na zvanichnom sajtu, vec se najavljuje u stilu dolaze Stonsi majke mi.

Pearl Jam je objavio datume europskog dijela njihove velike svjetske turneje 2006.

Šest godina nakon što su zadnji put posjetili Europu, Pearl Jam se vraća u velikom stilu 23. kolovoza u Dublin i prolaze kroz sve velike europske gradove tijekom rujna. Turneju završavaju koncertom u Ateni, 30. rujna 2006. godine, a u zagrebačkom Domu sportova nastupiti će 26. rujna.

Svjetsku turneju Pearl Jam-a prati izlazak njihovog novog studijskog albuma, koji je u prodaji od 1. svibnja u Europi i 2. svibnja u SAD-u. Njihov prvi singl sa novog albuma, „World Wide Suicide“, nalazi se u prvih pet najboljih singlova na SAD rock-radijskoj ljestvici već šesti tjedan za redom. U glazbenom magazinu Rolling Stone album je ocjenjen s četiri zvjezdice te s čak pet zvjezdica u Kerrangu.

Za veliki rock-spektakl u Hrvatskoj prodaja ulaznica počinje 05. svibnja. Cijena ulaznice je 310 kuna za prvi kontingent od 2000 ulaznica te 360 kuna za ostatak.

Ulaznice se mogu kupiti putem novog ticket on-line sistema, TICKETPRO, i to na slijedećim mjestima: Ticket centar (Zrinjevac 16), Integral, Dallas music shop ( Zagreb, Rijeka i Split), Dancing bear ( Zagreb i Split), Shoe-be-do a uskoro i u svim poslovnicama Erste banke i OMV benzinskim postajama diljem Hrvatske.

Ovo nije iz bookleta jer Unemployable je tamo tocno napisan,

iz CD-covera ;)

PEARL JAM frontman EDDIE VEDDER has no problems talking about his days as a concert bootlegger because he never sold the live show tapes he recorded. The rocker admits he kept a stash of his bootlegs when he was growing up so he'd always be able to revisit his favourite live shows at home - but he never gained financially from his illegal hobby. He says, "I never once sold a tape. On very few occasions, if someone was very into it, I'd make them a copy." Vedder reveals his hobby was dangerous at times - when burlyminders took exception to his bootlegging passions. He adds, "For every good bootleg I got, I probably got caught half the other times, because I was usually close to the stage. "They'd take my recorder and rough me up. A lot of times, they'd take the tapes, which is a little nicer. Some guys were overly aggressive."

VEDDER JOINS THE STROKES


PEARL JAM star EDDIE VEDDER thrilled fans of THE STROKES in New York last night (04MAY06) by taking to the stage with the group. Vedder turned up at The Strokes' Hammerstein Ballroom show, a concert staged to commemorate rock magazine Rolling Stone's 1000th issue, to perform JUICEBOX with the band - after performing a 10-song set for Pearl Jam fans at the nearby Ed Sullivan Theatre. Vedder wasn't the only special guest to join The Strokes onstage - LOU REED performed his classic WALK ON THE WILD SIDE with the band.

jednom nedeljno imam toliko vremena i mogucnosti da vidim shta ima novo, i sad sam se zestoko odushevila, valjda ce biti i kod nas (Crna Gora) taj album original, kad su vec izglasali zakon o zabrani piraterije...

jedino shto me nervira je ovo shto su se sad pomamili nashi politichari koji hoce da odvoje Crnu Goru od srbije referendumom kojim nam ispiraju mozak vec ihaaa vremena....

ne znam kakvo ce sranje da naprave, tako da ne znam ni hocu li moci da nabavim vizu i hoce li mi trebati...

sve zavisi od 21. maja...

tako se radujem shto PJ konachno dolazi, ali se brinem da li cu moci da podjem bar na jedan koncert.....

1. kupio karte jucer, ali poslije tri jer ujutro jos nisu bile dosle (super je bila zenska u shoebedo kojoj nisam bio prvi s pitanjem, ali nije pojma imala da bi oni trebali dobiti karte)
2. karte su ocajne!!! tinta se brise s njih, samo cekam kad ih proglase krivotvorenima (btw ticketpro.com.hr - probajte tamo otic - bump!!!)
3. zasto su ocajne? nema postera za turneju! pa onda nema ni slike. mozda ce druga runda biti "u boji". pa cemo mi prvi imati raritete!
4. promo materijali? not! nema postera nema flajera, nista!
5. stonesi! pisu novine "ulaznice planule!" prvi dan prodano 2500 ulaznica! od cca 60 000. u cijeloj Hrvatskoj! i to znaci "planuti"? ko je tu lud?
6. organizator stonsa "nije razmisljao" o onima kojima jos nije vracena lova od proslog otkazanja.
7. za tenclub zalbenike (tj. one koji nisu u tc, a misle da je to potrebno zbog koncerata): ja bio 2 godine: xmas 45's, newsletteri, rezervacije (a ne kupovina ulaznica!) - super!!! ali tc ulaznica vam je super samo ako je cijeli koncert sjedeci pa onda dobijete prvi red!. nema vip-a, nema bekstejdza, (nema brige!). u zagrebu nema sjedenja (fol na tribini), sve je spojeno, nemate brige doc na ogradu i bit tamo cijeli koncert ili otic pisat pa se vratit.
8. u vecernjem (mislim) od jucer pise blablabla "...novi album WWS"!, hihihi!
9. jel vam avokado bolji posoljen ili poseceren?

To sa ticketpro mi je totalno nejasno. A i stranice oragnizatora http://events.lupa.hr/ su očajne. Vrlo mi to djeluje sumnjivo i neozbiljno. Ali ipak ću kupiti karte slijedeći tjedan.

Je li moguće da se rasproda koncert pa da se doda još jedan? Ne znam, možda je moguće, ako bude navala raje iz susjednih zemalja, PJ ima prilično vjernu bazu poklonika. Ali ipak sam skeptičan.

Što se tiče karata za Stonese - ne kupujte još ništa! Richardsovo zdravstveno stanje je potpuno nerazješnjeno... Ne bi bio iznenađen da se otkaže cijela EU turneja.

u krajnjem slucaju, ako vam se ne ide po nekim bircevima za taj meeting, ima tu dosta parkova gdje se pije, i gitara, pa peri po pj.. mislim, znam da nije kao pravo, ali nje ni lose...

malo smo nabrijani? :) jao mene, pa nije sve tako crno... :) ali moram te demantirati za točku 7. - naime, mi ćemo (10c ekipa) ući 15 minuta prije svih ostalih u dvoranu tako da sam ja ispred Mikea cijeli koncerat. a to je zakon... :)
