I think MNIL could have easily fit on Wishville, and I don't mean that in a bad way. Not too fond of the falsetto in the chorus (same deal with CW's "Goodbye") but overall a solid track.

I have September 13th marked off on my calendar. It's been so long ... I hope he tours Canada. If he play Seattle I may have to head down ... I saw CW once, but near the end of the bands' run, in a venue that didn't suit them (sidestage of a huge festival) and their were tonnes of tech problems (vocal mic cut out for 4-5 minutes during Black Metallic). So I've got to see Rob ... I'm not one of those live-in-the-past types that wants to hear CW's "greatest hits" or what-have-you. He could go up half-corked singing lullabies and opera and I'd still dig it. He's one of my favourite singers. I guess that's enough gushing about his talents for now. :p

About time!!! The first half of the disc is a bit more of a pop direction for him, but then he goes home & make any CW fan happy. Very good stuff

Damn it was rad. Just him and an acoustic with a couple of pedals.

The Storm, My Name is Love, Towering and Flowering, Oceans, Bathe Away, Handsome from Fresh Wine.
Heal (the opener). Ma Solituda, Eat My Dust You Insensitive Fuck, Crank, Future Boy, & Black Metallic were the other CW tunes.

Amazing, and he's totally nice, gracious & funny. His voice was incredible and the whole night I just couldn't believe my eyes and ears - especially when he started playing the opening notes to Ma Solituda, a personal favourite. Although a fleeting thought, I wondered if I wasn't hearing what I thought I was hearing, and mistook it for another song. Thankfully I was totally wrong and in realizing my disbelief had overtakenthe raw truth of the moment (never thought I'd actually hear it live in my lifetime), the intensity for me was immediately doubled. Rob is awesome, simply put. Friday was one of the best days of my life.
